I coach a lot of leaders. Over time, I noticed a pattern.
As we worked together, they started thinking and talking differently—about their people, their decisions, and their business as a whole. They saw problems more clearly. They found traction where they’d been spinning.
I got curious.
What exactly was I doing that made that shift happen?
Because I’m just one person. I can only do so much. But if I could name what was driving that change, maybe I could replicate it. Scale it. So more people could benefit.
The Pattern Behind the Progress
What I saw was this: I was helping leaders reframe.
Not with advice. Not with templates. With perspective.
I’d offer a shift in lens, and suddenly the next move got clearer.
So I started writing those reframes down. They weren’t scripts or step-by-steps. Just sharp, simple nudges that unlocked better thinking. Those became the People Energy Principles—36 in total.
Each one is short. Digestible. Thought-provoking.
And together, they form a toolkit to help leaders get unstuck and realign energy for better results.
A Unique Book That Thinks Like You Do
Now, here’s where it gets more personal.
I’m also an artist. Drawing is how I slow down and see what’s under the surface.
As I worked on the principles, I started illustrating each one. Not to explain them—these aren’t infographics—but to add texture. Visual cues. A way to bypass the analytical mind and spark something deeper.
That’s how this became a picture book for leaders.
Something you can flip open anytime. Something that speaks to both the head and the gut.
Why These Principles Matter
Most business problems aren’t caused by lazy people or broken systems. They’re caused by misdirected energy.
People unclear about expectations. Managers caught in decision traffic. Teams stuck in loops because the structure keeps repeating itself.
The People Energy Principles help you notice what’s really happening—fast.
For example:
- Same people in same roles = same problems.
- People do things for reasons—not always the ones they give you.
- Personality conflicts are usually clarity problems.
These are cues to pause, zoom out, and choose a better move.
It’s Not a Playbook. It’s a Mirror.
You won’t find steps or formulas here. You’ll find prompts that meet you mid-thought and open up new space. Space to choose differently. To lead more clearly. To build something better.
The truth is, leadership is an energy game. When you align people energy with business purpose, things move. And when they move, they grow.
That’s why I wrote this book. To help more of that happen.
